Overview
Current transformers (CTs) are classified into outdoor and indoor types. Indoor CTs utilize epoxy cast insulation and are extensively used for current measurement, commercial energy metering, and relay protection in alternating - current networks with a nominal voltage of up to 12 kV, 24 kV, or 40.5 kV and a frequency of 50 Hz or 60 Hz.
